Parking in Provincetown
Where can I park?
Provincetown has narrow streets and limited legal parking. Parking Enforcement is from May,1st through October 31st 7 days a week including holidays.
There are 2 manned parking lots MPL and Grace Hall open 24/7. When you enter the lot you take a ticket from the ticket dispenser when you exit the lot you turn the ticket into the cashier for payment.
We have 4 unmanned lots that have Pay Station Kiosk that accept currency, coins, Master Card, Visa and Discover Cards these lots are enforced 8:00am to 12:00am.
There are also 9 parking metered zones that accept coins only and they are enforced 8:00am to 12:00am.
MacMillian Pier Parking Lot (MPL)
MacMillian Pier Parking lot, MPL, located in the center of town by Lopes Sq. is a manned lot. Take a ticket from the dispenser on the way in and when you exit you turn the ticket into the cashier for payment we accept Master Card, Visa and Discover.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Provincetown has four (4) Level 2 electric vehicle charging station ports in front of the MPL off of Ryder Street Extension. The rate to park and charge at the stations is $1.50 per hour. Your vehicle must remain plugged in to the station for the entire time it is parked in the space.
Stations can be activated with a ChargePoint card, a contactless credit card (such as American Express ExpressPay or Visa payWave), or by pressing the "Help" button on the station screen and calling the number provided. If you don't have a ChargePoint card, you can have one sent to you for free by visiting Charge Point. You can search for Provincetown's charging stations on the ChargePoint map by viewing the Map.
Grace Hall Parking Lot
Grace Hall Parking Lot located at Prince St. and Bradford St. you can also enter the lot by Captain Birdie Way off of Shankpainter Road Take a ticket from the dispenser on the way in and when you exit you turn the ticket into the cashier for payment.

Jerome Smith Parking Lot
Located on Jerome Smith Road at the corner of Shankpainter Road and Route 6. This lot has multiple uses. There are spaces sold along the back side of the lot along Route 6 for seasonal campers and parking for Tour Buses. The spaces along Jerome Smith Road are for autos and campers. Signs are posted. This lot is enforced 8:00am to 12:00am. If you are staying in Provincetown for and extended length of time you can purchase a parking permit for this lot for $60 for 7 days. Parking Permit for Licenced Guest Houses in Provincetown
The Provincetown Parking Department is pleased to announce the creation of a Parking Permit for guest houses. The permit is $500 per space from April 1 though October 31st which would allow you to provide parking for your guest at the VFW or Jerome Smith Lot using your plac card created by you. Contact the Parking Department for information.
