Provincetown's FY2024 Town Wide Goals focus on improving government operations, supporting and promoting year-round housing, improving roadway safety and parking, achieving and maintaining strong Town finances, advancing municipal water and sewer infrastructure, investing in and upgrading public facilities and properties, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, completing critical Town planning milestones and development projects, improving and expanding communications and community engagement, public ways and parking, Town finances, sewer, public facilities, diversity, equity, and inclusion, planning, community engagement, addressing climate and coastal resiliency challenges, and implementing public and behavioral health programming.
“There is continued progress to be made in many areas, especially in our need for more year-round housing,” said David Abramson, Chair of the Provincetown Select Board. “The Select Board is committed to working with the Town Manager, Town staff, and all members of our community to address these challenges and opportunities together.”
Each of the 11 Town Wide Goals were then expanded upon in the Town Manager’s Goals for FY 2024 with specific objectives attached to them to help guide policy development and decision making.
“As in years past, I look forward to working with the Select Board, our board and committee members, and Town staff to make progress on these goals” said Town Manager Alex B. Morse. “These goals reflect our community’s priorities, and I am excited for the work ahead.”
The annual adoption of Town Wide Goals by the Select Board is a focal point for the Town as these goals are translated into objectives to be achieved by the Town Manager and Town staff in the new fiscal year.
