Housing Specialist

 

The Town of Provincetown, Massachusetts and the Provincetown Community Housing Council (PCHC) seek an energetic, knowledgeable and visionary individual to lead the functions of the town’s newly created Housing Office.  Working under the office of the Town Manager with oversight by the PCHC, the Housing Specialist will serve to advance efforts to create new community housing opportunities as well as preserve existing community housing options for residents of Provincetown.  The Housing Specialist will serve as the Town’s point person on all community housing plans, proposals and permit applications as well as other related housing work.  She/He will also serve as the staff support/liaison to the PCHC and the Community Preservation Committee.   

 

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in financial resource identification and development including public/private grant writing and submission
  • Experience in grant and financial management
  • Knowledge of and experience with affordable/community housing programs, policies and resources at the state and federal levels
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills including database and financial analysis and management software
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred
