Want to Serve on a Town Board?
Any registered voter in the Town of Provincetown is eligible to serve on a Town Board. See the list of board vacancies (PDF) to determine which board best matches your interest and abilities. This list is updated every month so check back for new vacancies. We will keep your application on file for 364 days. You must now apply online by filling out a Town Board Application. Click the yellow link "Online Services" and find the application under the Town Clerk. Please contact the Town Clerk for more information or to discuss which board may be the best fit for you.

Town Board Handbook & Training
The Town Clerk's office publishes a Handbook For Members of Town Boards (PDF) and offers Town Board & Committee Member Training to assist the members of appointed boards, committees, and commissions to easily understand the variety of laws, procedures and traditions in participating in municipal government. This handbook blends the directions and requirements that are found in state and local laws, town charter and administrative directives.
