Week of August 28, 2023:
- Select Board votes to raise Residential Tax Exemption to 35% (from 25%).
- Town swears in six new, full-time members of the Provincetown Fire Department, bringing the Town to 14 full-time Fire/EMS staff as of September 1, 2023.
- 2023 Annual Traffic Hearing scheduled for Monday, November 6, 2023. Traffic Hearing proposals due by Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
- Town Manager's Housing Advisory Group held its first meeting on August 29, 2023 to discuss potential housing-related Articles for Special Town Meeting including short-term rental regulations, a fractional ownership ban, and others.
- Town Clerk to provide training to assist members of appointed Town boards, committees, and commissions to easily understand the variety of laws, procedures and traditions in participating in municipal government.
- Joint Housing Workshop between the Select Board, Community Housing Council, Planning Board, and Year Round Market Rate Rental Housing Trust to be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Judge Welsh Room at Town Hall.
- Special Town Meeting scheduled for Monday, October 23, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at Town Hall to act on Articles related to the purchase of 22/22R and 24 Nelson Ave., as well as other items.
