The Town of Provincetown, along with the Town's contractor the Robert B. Our Company (RBO), will be begin Phase 6 sewer expansion work on Tuesday, November 28.

RBO will begin installing new sewer connection stubs to properties on Franklin Street. This work is expect to last most, if not all, of the week. Once Franklin St. work is complete, crews will move to Pleasant Street and Montello Street. We do not anticipate needing to close the road fully during this work, but please expect detours and delays as the crews work. There will be police details working with construction crews to assist with traffic.

Please keep in mind:

  • Schedules change.
  • Work does not always go as planned.
  • Weather does not always cooperate.
  • Issues can occur during construction work.

Should an incident occur during the work, Provincetown DPW will post information on their Facebook page. If an emergency occurs, the Town will send out information via the Town’s emergency alert system. Not signed up for alerts? Click here to register.

As sewer construction advances, DPW staff will work closely with our engineering and construction contractors to provide residents with up to date information. The Town has also launched a new page to share information and updates on the sewer expansion project at www.provincetown-ma.gov/1464/Sewer-Expansion-Project.

On this page you will find:

  • Information on stub locations for your sewer connection if part of Phase 6.
  • A link to sign up for email/text notifications on Phase 6 work.
  • Information on betterments and financial assistance (coming soon).
  • Other important information as the project progresses.

Those with questions or concerns should contact Sherry Prada, DPW Deputy Director, or Braden Witt, Sr. Project Manager, at 508-487-7060. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during this important sewer expansion work.
